Identification code

Those foreign citizens who intend to do business and to fully exercise their other rights in the State of Ukraine should have a physical tax-payer ID card or in other words - an identification code.

According to Ukrainian legislation, there are number of the bases on which the identification code can be issued to a foreign citizen:

• If a foreign citizen is registered as individual entrepreneur in Ukraine;
• If a foreign citizen is the founder of the legal entity in Ukraine;
• If a foreign citizen has property in Ukraine and is obliged to pay taxes and other obligatory payments in accordance with the current legislation;
• And in other cases such as: opening bank accounts, applying for credit cards, insurance policies etc.

Identification code cards issued at Regional State Tax Administrations, Tax Administration of city of Kiev and Sevastopol, and also at State Tax Administration of Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

List of document necessary to apply for identification code:

1. Notarized power of attorney on representation of interests of a foreign citizen.

2. Copy of passport.

3. Notarized translation into Ukrainian of page 1 of foreigner's passport.

Application processing time - 5 working days.

Cost of service 500 UAH (includes all fees and expenses).
